David McCormack

After six albums fronting Custard and two albums with the Titanics, David McCormack released his first solo album of electronic doodlings and twisted pop interludes, called the Matterhorn, in 2001. June 2002 saw the recording and August 2002 the release of Candy. Recorded at Paradise Studios with Brisbane wunderkind Magoo. This new album showed David getting down and dirty with a bunch of musicians including Abi Tucker (everyone's favourite TV personality and blues veteran), Shane Melder (Sidewinder and Died Pretty) and at last, David's brother Dylan (Grant McLennan, Skippy) on bass.

2002 was a busy year for David. No sooner had he completed work on the new Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City) feature film called Garage Days, he then went straight into months of touring with his Polaroids.
