The Disables
Since playing their first gig nine days after forming back in late ’98, The Disables have set a standard for playing passionate anthemic punk rock. Combining the style of the late seventies with the energy of the present, The Disables have been quick to build a large following in their home town of Brisbane earning them the supports of bands including Dropkick Murphys, The Hives, US Bombs, Unwritten Law, MXPX, The Ataris, Sum 41 plus a host of other national and international acts.

Along with this, the band has performed on the nationally touring Vans Warped punk music festival and supported the likes of Oasis and Morrissey at Australia’s Livid Festival.

“The Lackey Country” EP is the first nationally distributed release from these Brisbane punkers. It marks the return of legendary Australian indie icon Waterfront Records and the signing of The Disables to this re-emergent label already has people talking. The Lackey Country will be released through Waterfront Records in September 2003, and distributed by MGM.
