Format: CD

One of the most electrifying performers in Blues history - Howlin' Wolf was a principal of electric Chicago Blues during the genres halcyon days in the 1950s and early 1960s. An oversized, intimidating figure who stood well over six feet tall and weighed in around three hundred pounds, his theatrical stage persona and sheer physical intensity gave a different meaning to the Blues during every performance. Many of his records would eventually become standards of the Chicago Blues idiom, but their greatest potential was reached when rock bands such as the Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Cream, and Jeff Beck stared re-recording these standards, selling millions of copies in the process.
