Sheffield's electro-post-rock titans 65daysofstatic formed in 2001 and soon became known for their incredible sound - a blend of live electronics, drum and bass beats and the pummelling build and dynamics of post-rock. ‘We Were Exploding Anyway’ showcases their powerful, forward-thinking fusion of dance, rock and electronica and includes a guest appearance from The Cure’s Robert Smith on ‘Come To Me.’ The second disc ‘Heavy Sky’ is a collection of tracks culled from the WWEA sessions and includes a remix of Tiger Girl contributed by Australian instrumental group ‘sleepmakeswaves’.
