2011: A Space Oddity
Release Date: 02/03/2012
Catalogue No.: MP
Record Label: Fuse Distribution
Format: CD

Fuse is extremely proud to present the debut album from The Cambodian Space Project. Having taken Cambodia by storm, in the process winning over the King of Cambonia (dubbed his favourite band no less!), their psychedelic vision of Khmer-rock is now primed to take on the rest of the world gathering incredible reviews from all corners of the globe!

Forming in 2009, The Cambodian Space Project are fronted by the playfully charismatic and vocally gifted Srey Thy and are made up of Australian, French and Cambodian musicians.

A culture-clash of sorts, the band combines traditional Khmer songs and instrumentation with western rock ‘n’ roll (originally imported by American G.I’s back in the 1960s & 70s) creating their own unique place in the musical landscape.

‘Just begging to be used to soundtrack the next Tarantino movie’ - UNCUT

‘A great band who write hook heavy songs and play the holy heck out of them on stage.’ - TIME OUT (LONDON)

‘It’s upbeat, unusual and accomplished, an Asian rock ‘n’ roll space odyssey indeed.’ CLASH MAG
