Varied and incredibly dynamic, Reactions is both its own voice and the voice of its artist: the creative team of singer/guitarist Alex MacRae and drummer Adam Weston. Weston you may already know from his other creative outlet – the highly accomplished Birds of Tokyo – though MacRae, literally and figuratively, is an entirely new voice in Australian music.
On stage, and to significantly favourable reviews, this line-up expands to include guitarist Glenn Sarangapany, bassist Rob Stephens and keyboardist Brett Murray – some of the most respected players in the band’s hometown of Perth. Captured masterfully by renowned engineer Dave Parkin (Sugar Army, Jebediah); Reactions is the first significant artistic statement to come from this creative partnership, whose most explorative and sculpted work has now been translated from the stage to the studio in spectacular fashion.
