Art Of Fighting

Embarking on their first run of dates for 2005, Art Of Fighting get set to head out on the road for a national tour this Feb /March in support of their critically acclaimed album Second Storey. Responsible for easily one of the best albums of 2004 with their sophomore release Second Storey, Art Of Fighting wowed all and sundry when they brought those songs to life on their last tour. Fans and critics alike embraced the record, and the band played to full houses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane when they launched Second Storey last August. Punters discovered that what might appear subtle on the record is hard to ignore in a live setting. With a wistful array of sonic textures, gentle loping sounds and buzzing rock guitars, Art Of Fighting proved that their live shows are a captivating affair indeed.

To coincide with the forthcoming shows, Art Of Fighting and Trifekta Records will release a four track tour single titled Come Round & Show Me. The second single to be lifted from the beautiful album Second Storey, Come Round & Show Me is arguably the most dynamic track on the record. A stirring pop song, complete with cascading guitars and an explosive chorus, the single also features 3 previously unreleased tracks for your listening pleasure.

You Are Now So Distant Tonight was originally written after the release of their debut album Wires, rediscovered by chance late last year, and polished up and re-recorded for the single release. Down Different Roads was written and recorded as the signature song for the short film Heartworm which screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival, Flickerfest in Sydney, Exground (Wiesbaden, Germany), and the Austin and Los Angeles Film Festivals. And last but not least, the single is rounded out with a live version of Come Round & Show Me recorded for Triple J's Home and Hosed programme last year.
