iOTA

iOTA burst onto the Australian alternative music scene back in 1999 and quickly became a live performer of legendary status netting himself a strong grass-roots following.

Three albums, two ARIA Award nominations and national airplay for 7 singles brought iOTA to the attention of the mainstream media and helped earn him the reputation as one of Australia¹s most exciting and promising singer/songwriters.

Ever the chameleon, this year sees major change and growth in store for iOTA. A move to Michael Chugg Management, the formation of a new 4-piece rock band, iOTA and The Lizard Men, a national tour and the buzz of excitement around the prospects for the coming months.

It's only the beginning of an already impressive and colourful career.

So what do the critics say...?

"iOTA possesses a vocal range to die for. Quietly individualistic and a class act to boot, don't be surprised if you see and hear plenty more of iOTA in the very near future." [Scott Woodside, Xpress Magazine]

"Acoustic driven and clean, the quietest of quiet spaces, dank melody opening up into muted rhythms, voice and guitar filling it before breaking out into punching straight bluesy heavy rock. Way cool man." [Steve Anderson, The Drum Media]

"iOTA is one of the strongest vocalists to emerge from the Australian independent scene in recent years. He has an amazing range and breadth of character and slips with ease in and out of a strong and confident falsetto, although covering Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi might have been just showing off." [Kelsey Munro, Sydney Morning Herald]

"There's nothing lower case about iOTA's dramatic sound. With his riveting vocal range and mellow yet intricate guitar strummings, he has built a strong cult following." [The Sun Herald]
