Arcane Saints

"A rich blend of classic metal, blues and grunge. Big market for this sound I should think." - Simone (Beat Magazine) As a relative of Iron Maiden founding member Steve Harris, music was always in singer/guitarist Michael John’s blood. Although born in the UK, he grew up in New Zealand and began writing his own songs at age 15. After winning an international song writing competition Michael spent the prize money on a wild night of debauchery and a one way ticket to Melbourne, Australia. Shortly afterwards, he formed Arcane Saints.

Following a few early line up changes, youth prison guard Jim Luxford was recruited on bass. As well as having strong bass chops, Jim also had singing ability and became back up singer. Michael “Sheep” Gooding joined the band as lead guitarist after impressing them with his guitar skills and rock'n'roll hair. Various drummers came and went before the band finally settled with power house drummer Sam Sablinskis on skins.

Arcane Saints have become an explosive hard rock force. They are a band who want their music to reach as many people as possible but will never gave up their ideal that music should come from a place of absolute honesty and integrity. The band have built a large fan base on the back of relentless touring, steady radio airplay and television exposure (such as appearing on MTV's "Up and Coming Bands" documentary,) and of course their stunning good looks and charm. In their short career they have independently released 2 E/P's and a single "Nervous Breakdown" produced by Evan McHugh (Jet, Midnight Oil, Dead Letter Circus.)
