If ever there is a diagonal slide into sweet oblivion that needed magnifying with guitar, bass, drum and electrified amp, Rogerthat are the one to deliver it. The band spent the rest of the year buried away in their shipping container come studio working maniacally on their debut album like a brain-fried mad professor. 08 turned to 09 and the band emerged briefly to tour, blessing the Festival of the Sun, the Big Right Hook and Pyramid fest with their presence. The first born from these sessions was the pre-pro EP featuring the track Tangerine Bird, late in 08. The first single from the bands debut album The Desert’s Call is a version of the band’s garage pop diamond, Green Room, released feb 09 was RAVE single of the week, “..Green Room just has so many layers, finding the influences could take all night. I guess we’re just lucky that Green Room’s so engaging to listen to on repeat.” and played on Triple J, playlisted on FBi, PBS, RTR and RRR.
