Endorphin
Endorphin - aka Eric Chapus emerged as a tour de force when "picked from the pack" in Triple J's unearthed competition in 1996 and has never failed to deliver since his impressive debut album Embrace. His second album Skin reflected his relocation from Kuranda in North Queensland to the urban interior of Sydney, dishing up a more gritty musical landscape.

Skin drew accolades from both the dance music and mainstream media and won Album of the Year at the inaugural Australian Dance Music Awards. He was also nominated for Best Male Artist at the 2000 ARIA Awards. Since migrating to Australia in 1984, the French-born artist has developed a live performance unlike any before seen in this country. With his dancer Ivan Medel, stilt walker Tom Parris and DJ Archie, Eric has woven an eclectic array of visual imagery and music to create a live production that explodes with an energy that seduces all the senses. It is theatre for the dance floor as audiences at Homebake, Hemispheres, Gatecrasher, Moby, Massive Attack, Portishead, Faithless tour and his numerous headlining shows around the country have already discovered. Endorphin's third album AM/PM bought together the two edges to endorphin's sword. From the ambient sounds found on Embrace to the robust edginess of Skin, AM/PM delivered the fusion of the chilled out lounge room experience with the four on the floor of the live dance performance.

With endorphin's live show growing in popularity, 2002 opened up new touring territories for endorphin with invitations to play in Mexico City for the World Apec meeting and the Venezuela Arts Festival. On top of this already hectic schedule endorphin was commissioned in 2002 to score the music for a new National Geographic series. Eric has become more interested in the challenges of writing music for film and television. Many of his tunes have been incorporated on numerous international Compilations including Ibiza's chilled out Café Del Mar series with endorphin's classic track Satie. It's not surprising endorphin has become a highly sought-after remixer and producer. Remixing other artists such as Icehouse, Spiderbait, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Little, Sonic Animation, Sunk Loto and Frenchman Ugo Farrell.

His fourth album Seduction is to be released independently 5th May 2003.
